About Andrade's Fruit-Filled Ice Bars

Our family's fruit-filled ice bars, also known as "paletas", can be traced back to the 1940s when the original ice cream bar shops - better known as paleterias - started in Mexico. Paletas originated in Tocumbo, Michoacan and began a tradition that has become a staple in the Mexican culture, with over 15,000 paleterias all over the country.

In 2005, the first Andrades paleteria location opened in Los Angeles where a loyal customer base continues to recognize the value of our high-quality fruit-filled ice bars and delicious ice cream. However, our family originally started creating the ice milk bars and fruit-filled ice bars in the 1940's in Mexico.

With this rich heritage, we decided to share the family recipes, over 20 flavors, with the community of Lynwood.

Our fruit-filled ice bars differentiate from the street pushcart vendors or convenience store products because we use original family recipes, the highest quality ingredients, and an artisanal approach to production that you can taste in every bite.
